Gujarat State Board released the SSC exams results on Monday which were conducted from March 12 to 23. This year nearly ten lakh students had appeared for this exam where the pass percentage is 67.5 percent.
There are the many cases where students who belong to poor and underprivileged backgrounds excel this examination. One such case is Afreen Shaikh, a proud daughter of an auto driver who scored the 98.31 percentage in this examination.
Afreen belongs to FD school in Ahmedabad. She always wants to pursue medicine as she is a doctor aspirant. She felt so delighted with her marks and planning to join in science stream. She always believes only a doctor can serve the masses and heal the wounds.
Shaik Mohammad Hamza, who is the father of Afreen says that he needs to struggle a lot to meet the financial expenses for further studies of Afreen. He said "My family constitutes total four members and I'm working hard to look after them. I don't show any discrimination regarding the gender whether male or female. I support her as I always want to see her as educated and Independent."
